The Chamber Board of Directors are the decision makers for the Sleepy Eye Area Chamber of Commerce. Their input is essential to the success of the Chamber and its programs. They approve the Chamber's business plan and the budget, receive committee reports and direct general activities of the organization. The Chamber Board also approves all position statements relative to public policy.

The Retail Association is a group of Sleepy Eye business owners who work together to promote and support Sleepy Eye businesses. The Retail Board plans and executes different promotions and events throughout the year, such as the Shopping Spree, Crazy Days, Employee Discount Days, Scarecrow Patch, Santa visits, Little Miss & Mr. Holiday, Christmas Coupon Books, Shop Sleepy Eye for Schools, and the annual Sleepy Eye ornament.

2008 Retail Association Board

The Convention & Visitor's Bureau is responsible for tourism in Sleepy Eye. The CVB Board produces the annual Sleepy Eye Visitor's Guide, which is available at the Chamber office, various Sleepy Eye businesses, and at tourism locations around the state. The CVB also promotes community activities that can draw visitors from around the state and the Midwest, such as the Corn Daze Celebration, the Community Theatre productions, and the Ish-Tak-Ha-Ba Basketball Tournament.
