At the W.W. Smith Inn, step back in time and experience turn-of-the century elegance and the relaxed lifestyle of a bygone age in an historic mansion in a quiet, tree-lined village neighborhood. Relax and let the pressures of today slip away as you enter through the heavy oak front door accented by intricate beveled leaded glass windows.  Shaded by magnificent maples, catalpa and willow trees, the Main House combines Queen Anne and Classical styling with just a touch of Victorian to create a home with unsurpassed beauty and attention to detail throughout.  Stained glass and leaded, beveled glass adorn many of the rooms along with ornate and intricate woodwork in oak, cherry and chestnut. Two beautifully appointed front parlors are furnished with period pieces and crystal chandeliers, perfect for gathering with friends or to sip a cup of tea on a lazy afternoon.  A formal dining room complete with fireplace and built-in quarter-sawn oak china closet provides the perfect setting for a gourmet breakfast, sure to be a highlight of your stay at W.W. Smith Inn. A cozy library offers a quiet retreat to curl up with a good book.  Wile away the hours as the Smith family would have done under the original brass light with gold and silver inlaid Steuben glass shades. The Carriage House, just a few steps across the courtyard from the Main House has an entirely different ambiance. Done in the style of a country cottage, it offers a much more informal setting and features a gathering room for guests to watch TV or play cards.  The spacious Loft Suite with its two-person whirlpool bath, king bed, quiet privacy and other amenities is perfect for honeymooners or a romantic weekend getaway. And when you are ready to retire for the evening, ascend the grand staircase to the sleeping chambers or cross the courtyard to the Carriage House and prepared for the best night's sleep of your life. To make reservations, please call 800-799-5661.
