Sleepy Eye Family
Aquatic Center

The Sleepy Eye Family Aquatic Center lets children of all ages enjoy:
* 2 water slides: 151-foot enclosed slide & 199-foot open air slide
* 1 and 3 meter diving boards
* Zero-depth entry, shallow play area
* Water play structures with sprays and fountains
* Lily pad walk
* 75-foot Lap pool
* Large concession stand
*Relaxing lounge chairs and fun-brellas

2008 Aquatic Center Rates
* Daily Admission: $4.00
(everyone pays to get into facility)

* Individual Season Pass: $100.00

* Family Season Pass: $175.00
(an immediate family photo must be submitted at time of purchase)


* Punch Cards are available for Sleepy Eye and non-Sleepy Eye residents

Sleepy Eye Aquatic Center Specials
* Rent out the pool for a private party! Contact the pool for more information.

* Watch for the return of STAR SWIM. Lifeguards volunteer their time so you can swim under the stars after regular pool hours. All proceeds will continue to support the funding of the aquatic center.

Sleepy Eye Aquatic Center Rules
* Children must be 7 years old to attend the facility unsupervised

* Outside food and beverages are not allowed inside the aquatic center

* Suits that have metal (zippers, buttons, eyelets) cannot utilize the water slides

* Street clothes are not allowed in the water (may wear a plain white t-shirt to protect from the sun)

* Outside chairs are not allowed

Swimming Lessons
* Session I: June 16 - June 27
* Session II: June 30 - July 11
* Session III: July 14 - July 25
* Session IV: July 28 - August 8

The Sleepy Eye Aquatic Center will be open from 1:30-8:30 p.m. seven days a week.

Directions:
From the Highway 4 and 14 intersetion stoplights, turn east onton Highway 14.
From Highway 14, turn south onto First Avenue at the stoplights. Continue south until you reach Burnside Avenue. Turn east and go one block.

Sleepy Eye Lake Trail


Grand Opening of the Sleepy Eye Lake Trail on June 7, 2008.

Built in the fall of 2007, the paved Sleepy Eye Lake Trail is 3.12 miles around and ready to use!

In the spring, summer and fall, enjoy:
*
Running
* Walking
* Biking
* Rollerblading
* Skateboarding
* Strollers and wagons

In the winter, enjoy:
* Snowshoeing
* Cross-country skiing

All four seasons, enjoy:
* Views of the lake
* Trees and crops growing and changing colors
* Wildlife - fawns, pheasants, grey foxes, various birds, butterflies and more!
* Bridge over the wetlands
* Peace and quiet

Sleepy Eye Lake Trail Rules
* The trail is open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.

* When using the trail, please be polite to others using the trail as well.
Move to the right to allow faster moving persons to pass.

* To ensure the trail stays clean, please throw any trash in the garbage containers located along the trail.

* Pets are allowed on the trail, but please clean up after them.

* Please do not go onto or into private property, including houses or crops. Stay on the designated path.

* Please note that the Sleepy Eye Lake Trail does not allow vehicular traffic of any kind including cars/trucks, motorized scooters, snowmobiles, etc. Handicapped motorized wheelchairs/scooters are permitted.

* Restroom facilities and parking are located at Allison Park and Sportsman's Park.

Directions:
From Highway 14, turn north onto Highway 4 for four blocks. The trail begins at either the south beach of Sleepy Eye Lake, a block west of Highway 4 at Allison Park or on the north side of Sleepy Eye Lake at Sportsman's Park.

Sleepy Eye Community Center & Senior Center

The Sleepy Eye Community Center is available for:
* Parties
* Bridal Showers
* Family Reunions
* Graduations
* Meetings
* Seminars
* and more!

The Community Center has a large catering kitchen, complete with serving window, oven, coller and coffee serving pots. The kitchen is not eqipped with serving dishes, utensils or dishwasher.

Tables and chairs are available to seat 80 guests comfortably in the main room. There are 2 smaller rooms that fit 10-15 guests, as well as a board room for smaller meetings.

Rates vary, depending upon room choice and function. Please call the Community Center to book your next event at 507-794-5039.

The Senior Center is located in the Sleepy Eye Community Center.
Each week, senior citizens enjoy card playing, meetings, and speakers about various topics.

The Sleepy Eye Area Chamber of Commerce is also located within the Community Center.
Brochures from around the area, Sleepy Eye souvenirs and general Sleepy Eye information is available there.
