Sleepy Eye Parks & Bike Trail

The Sleepy Eye Lake Bike Trail is a 3.12 mile paved bike trail that goes around the perimeter of Sleepy Eye Lake, and used year round.  The trail has access points at the bike trail entrance in Allison Park located on the south side of the lake, and in Sportsman's Park on the north side of the lake.  Both of these areas are handicap accessible.

Sleepy Eye Parks

The city of Sleepy Eye is fortunate in that we take our leisure and play time seriously. We have NINE parks to prove it. Encompassing all corners of the city, our parks feature swimming beaches, outdoor hockey rinks, a skateboard park, fishing piers, campsites, numerous baseball & softball fields (one even played host to Babe Ruth), basketball & tennis courts, covered shelters & picnic spots, and a Veterans memorial wall &  statue paying homage to our city's namesake Chief Ish-Tak-Ha-Ba (Chief Sleepy Eye). Our city's emphasis and community support on park & leisure just proves that here in Sleepy Eye, there's nothing Sleepy about us.
